Virginia applicants:
Adoptions for following areas - Central Virginia including the Richmond Metro area, west to the Charlottesville area, east to Virginia Beach area and south of the Fredericksburg area.
South Carolina & Georgia applicants:
Adoptions for following areas - South Carolina ("Lowcountry") of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Beaufort, to include as far northeast as Saint Helena Island and west to Hardeeville. Savannah, Georgia ("The Coastal Empire"), Pooler and surrounding area to include as far south as Richmond Hill, southeast to Skidaway Island and as far west as Springfield.

About James River Greyhounds
James River Greyhounds is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding responsible, caring homes for retired racing greyhounds in the Central Virginia area, the Southeastern South Carolina area and the Northeastern Georgia area. Since 1989, we have found "forever homes" for more than 1850 greyhounds - and counting! We are now partnered with Greyt Love Retirement (GLR) to bring even more greyhounds into the region! GLR provides a shelter to foster greyhounds while they await their forever homes.
